Energy Symposium Series Kicks Off with e2Companies, LLC

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania, May 26, 2023 – Earlier this month, we announced our client and partner exclusive Energy Symposium Series with virtual and onsite events (see announcement HERE). This week, we released the first of our virtual events: Electric Generation with e2Companies.

The U.S. electric grid was originally invented in 1882. The basic design has largely gone unchanged, and over 70% of the infrastructure has passed its life expectancy. It will cost approximately $8 trillion to replace our electric grid and at least $5 trillion to maintain the current service reliability. Today’s grid operates in a far different world than for the one it was designed.

AIS hosted a discussion on Tuesday, May 23rd to discuss underinvestment in grid infrastructure relative to public policy goals over the next 30 years. Joining us was e2Companies founder and CEO James Richmond, SVP Alexis Khazzam, and SVP Ed Ducett. Founded in 2009, e2Companies is an ESG-rated virtual utility that manufactures microgrids, charging stations, and other components to supply electricity to hospitals, data centers, grocery stores, livestock feed producers, and many other power-dependent businesses. Their services provide ISO-compliant power without reliance on the grid or the large initial capital outlay to purchase traditional power systems.

e2Companies is the first vertically integrated Virtual Utility® company for power generation, distribution, and energy economics in the marketplace. e2 Companies’ innovative technology delivers top-notch performance and unprecedented value in the industry. e2Companies is also an ESG-focused organization, committed to helping companies stay ahead in the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
